The family-owned Oyster Bar is located in South Melbourne Market and is set to be the summer staple for lovers of the briny mollusc. Simply purchase your bounty and whisk them away to one of the market’s outdoor dining spaces or pop-up parklets.
It's not to be mistaken with the Oyster Bar by Aptus Seafood, which has an adjoining condiment bar.
For those who aren’t game enough to succumb to the slimy shellfish, the Oyster Bar by South Melbourne Seafoods also sells fresh and sustainably sourced ready-to-eat meals and snacks like katsu prawn sandos, lobster rolls, tuna and salmon poke bowls and mentaiko.
The space is licensed and will soon offer Bloody Marys and sparkling and local wines to amp up the experience too.
South Melbourne Market and the Oyster Bar is open on Wednesdays from 8am to 4pm, Fridays from 8am to 5pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 8am to 4pm.
