There are not many ways to improve the Easter egg – after all, how can you improve on sweet, chocolatey perfection? Melbourne chocolaterie and café Only Mine might have cracked it, though, offering a new dessert that rethinks how to eat Easter eggs.

Only Mine is launching Easter egg dessert bowls at its café in Olinda. Interested? Here’s how it works. First the Only Mine team take half of a large Easter egg. Then they fill it with two scoops of ice cream – the flavours are up to you. Finally it’s time to get creative as you choose the extras, sauces and toppings you want to add to make your Easter sundae a little bit egg-stra.

We believe in going hard or going home, so we’d make a sundae topped with Only Mine’s brownies, crushed cookies and a big dollop of coconut caramel. Only Mine also has a stack of Easter eggs for sale, including vegan and gluten-free options.

The Easter egg dessert bowl is available between April 15 and April 22 at Only Mine.
