Nine precincts around Melbourne are offering cashback and activation programs as part of the Melbourne City Recovery Fund, which means there are even more incentives to get you back into the CBD.

One such program is a ‘Docklands Dollars’ voucher organised by the Docklands Chamber of Commerce. Basically, $100 rebates are available if you purchase two nights of accommodation, and a further $110 rebate is available in retail stores, restaurants, fast food outlets, attractions (yes, the Melbourne Star!) and services around Docklands. Head here for all the details.

Another incentive is the Ultimate Yarra River Staycation. To help promote businesses along the Yarra and to entice visitors to discover all the many attractions, this staycation competition is up and running with tons of giveaways. The main prize is an all-expenses-paid staycation for you and five friends which includes a stay at the Langham and even a helicopter flight over Melbourne. Find all the information here.

Campaigns and activations are set to be rolled out across a number of other precinct associations including the Chinatown Precinct Association, the Collins Street Precinct Group and the North and West Melbourne Precinct Association. Keep an eye out.
