Café Paradiso

After closing its doors for nearly three weeks, Nataraj re-launched in September as Café Paradiso, a name that pays homage to the old Café Paradiso in Carlton, closed in 1985. While the revamp has seen limited changes to the interior, the kitchen has experienced a drastic overhaul, with the food menu now changing practically daily. Another addition is the vertical gardens out the back, which provide the restaurant with the fresh herbs they use in all their cooking and cocktails. While a big draw card for this venue is its proximity to the Rivoli Cinema (it’s directly across the road), another is that it still has one of the best, and only, beer gardens in Camberwell, as well as some of the better and more extensive wine, beer and cocktail lists.
