District Brewer

A fresh face in Bentleigh, District Brewer is shaking up the local dining scene with cold-drip coffees, fragrant iced teas, and cut-above cafe fare. Head chef Ashley Tirosh last manned the pans at Fitzroy’s De Clieu, and coffee maestro Leor Haimes helped set up Huff Bagelry, so there’s good pedigree behind this bright diner. Come for the teetering double-patty burger, blood pudding beignets with poached egg and charred corn, or the wicked Black Forest bircher, which is really just a sneaky way to eat dessert for breakfast (don’t worry, we won’t tell).
