Time Out says

Zumbo's take on the traditional Italian cafe is anything but

Pastry chef Adriano Zumbo's has added an Italian cafe next to high tea salon Fancy Nance. Less fancy than its neighbour, Little Frankie’s pays homage to Zumbo’s (presumably diminutive) father with its menu of Italian fare.

Savoury bites include arancini balls, panini sandwiches, calzones and scrolls. A pizza oven is on the cards, too, so the menu should expand soon. Traditional coffee companions including ricotta-filled canollis, ricotta cakes and sugar-rolled donut cigars will float the sweet tooth's boat; so will the gelati stand, which runs the gamut of traditional flavours but certainly aren't boring, like the vanilla risotto and olive oil with lemon and tiramisu.

While the menu takes a leaf out of traditional fare, there’s nothing very rustic about the interior. In typical Zumbo fashion, Little Frankie's is emblazoned with peach walls, hot pink stairs, black and white tiles and giant murals of flamingos that offers a decorative nod to Fancy Nance next door. Little Frankie’s is a fun place to get traditional Italian treats, but it won't look be like Nonna's place. There’s takeaway too if you need to eat on the go.
