Little Hof

Little Hof brings a taste of Germany to South Melbourne Market

Time Out says

The team behind German diner Hofbräuhaus in Melbourne's Chinatown and the Hof Downtown in Docklands have launched Little Hof in South Melbourne Market. The casual eatery plans to bring traditional Bavarian flavours to the market for the first time, with executive chef Sunny Gilbert (MoVida, TGI Friday, Oriental Teahouse) sourcing ingredients both locally and directly from Germany.

As for the menu, expect grab-and-go street foods that you can enjoy as you meander through the market, or as you dine-in. Pork knuckle will be available fresh from the rotisserie, roasted on the bone with crackling, on a bed of sauerkraut, mustard and gherkins. Crisp bratwurst will feature in the currywurst topped with a tomato-based curry sauce. And fresh, doughy bretzels (German pretzels) will be baked fresh and sold warm.

Bretzels go hand-in-hand with an ice-cold beer, so wash it down with one of the venue's imported beers straight from Germany and Austria.

All that's left to do is prost.
