Time Out says

Get a taste of authentic Irish chip shop fare with a gourmet twist at this St Kilda favourite

No one does a chip shop quite like the Irish – and no one in Melbourne does proper Irish chip shop food like Mammy's Boy. Located a stone's throw from Luna Park and the St Kilda foreshore, Mammy's Boy is all about comfort food done well: we're talking house-cut chips with gravy, Irish pork sausages with chips and mushy peas, battered fish and good old fashioned beef burgers.

Eat in at Mammy's Boy or get your feast to go and contend with hungry seagulls on the beach – both are excellent options. If it's a burger you crave, then don't go past the Daddy's Boy, a hearty combo of 100 per cent Victorian beef, bacon, an onion ring, cheddar, lettuce, Mammy's relish and Mammy's sauce. And if you're getting chips with that (which you should!) then give the gravy on the side a go – you won't regret it.
