Oishii-Go!

It’s all about sake, gyoza and live gigs at Susie Grant’s Japanese-themed bar. Early in the night you’ll find a mixed bag of punters eating sushi and noodles (both of which are good) under the glowing red lanterns. Later, the music turns up and a young crowd descends for fruity mugs of vodka souped up with passionfruit, apple juice and sodas, or the infamous Schnappski: five shots of booze candy served on a miniature ski (consult your doctor and age before attempting). The drinks steer pretty sweet overall, but we're all about ordering a fistful of Asahis and gyoza just to be where the party's at. If the Man is the last port of call, this is the bar filling out the mid-section of most people's night.
