Set yourself up for a new year's eve celebration to remember this year with dinner at Pastuso. They’re offering a new year’s eve set lunch and dinner for $100, which includes six courses and a glass of Spanish sparkling wine. Start your Peruvian gastronomic journey into 2018 with huancaina (native potato chips with cheese and chilli sauce) before sampling red snapper and marlin from the ceviche bar.
From Pastuso’s street food selection you’ll taste pastel de cholo (sweet corn cakes with whipped feta) and picante de mariscos – kingfish and clams in a light broth. You might have noticed the menu is light on meat so far: that’s because next up is a hefty red meat injection in the form of a 15-day dry aged oyster blade cut of Gippsland beef. Grilled over charcoal and served with smoked white cabbage and vinaigrette, the succulent steak is just what you need before a night of partying.
Lunch bookings are available from noon to 3pm, while dinner is available from 5pm till late. If you’re not into set menus that’s fine too – the à la carte menu will still be available. Eat your way into the new year with small dishes of ceviche or street food, or try Pastuso’s smokey, spicy roasted chicken. A three-course kids menu is available for children under 12 at $35 per person.
