Jerry Mai's much-loved, short-eats Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho Nom, has expanded to ELLA and is serving up the same MGS-free, deeply flavoured chicken, beef or vegan pho; vermicelli salads topped with spring rolls, lemongrass chicken or turmeric fish; rice paper rolls; and banh mi. For dinner, expect bun bo hue hot pot, pho hot pot and bo nuong vi (sizzling hot plate) for DIY rice paper rolls along with a cheerful selection of beers. Since ELLA is by Melbourne Central, it's a great excuse to stop in for a quick beer and a snack on your way in and out of the city.
