Once a violin workshop, the café’s popularity has seen the convivial front section extended, while the back room – or ‘good room’– is the perfect place for a genteel afternoon tea or a glass of sparkling.
Porgie and Mr Jones is open for breakfast, brunch and lunch seven days, and on Friday and Saturday nights they open up shop for dinner. Dinner comes in at $55 per person for two courses or $70 for three – including BYO. They’re proud to serve up organic bread from Noisette and make a concerted effort to source local and organic produce where possible.
