Ramen Bar

A lot of edible magic is happening on High Street in Northcote right now. Down one end you've got beautiful new café Barry serving your inner saint and sinner with salads packing all the super grains and peanut butter hot chocolates, while down the other you've got this absolute newborn, uniting ramen and sake with bar snacks and DJs. It's intended to be as much a bar as a casual resraurant, but word on the street is that they actually managed to achieve the impossible and get a proper ramen broth recipe from a Japanese ramen master. It's too new to review, but the beautiful big wooden bar looks the part and the short menu of pickles, gyoza and some great sake is full of promise. Watch this space.
