Time Out says

This Latin-fusion venue is bringing spicy Margaritas and a tasty gluten-free menu to St Kilda

Meet Rufio: a new player in the St Kilda dining scene bringing Latin-fusion food, an extensive cocktail list and rooftop vibes to Carlisle Street. Oh, and Rufio also happens to be 100 per cent gluten-free.

Head chef Simon Winson has designed a winter menu that showcases flame-grilled food straight off the open-fire grill. Start with a smoky eggplant arepa with miso tofu and chipotle mayo, and glazed pork belly with pineaplle. You can also snack on assorted tostadas, a sprightly salmon ceviche and sticky lamb ribs. Finish on a sweet note with an espresso and vanilla crème brûlée or a passionfruit coconut panna cotta.

The drinks are no second thought at Rufio with an extensive list of cocktails on offer, including a dedicated Margarita menu. There's a classic, a spicy, a hibiscus, an Italian, a Tommy's and a frozen Margarita for you to try - just perhaps don't attempt to try them all in one sitting.

This inclusive restaurant not only caters to those who are gluten-intolerant but also has a pleasing array of vegan and vegetarian options. So next time you're looking for something different to eat and spicy to drink, give Rufio a red-hot-go.
