Time Out says

This bustling Exhibition St café is all about dishing out organic fair trade coffee, big breakfasts and fresh salads with pizzaz. Try the Trader Benedict – with crisp thyme potatoes, braised smoky ham hock, poached eggs and a generous serve of apple cider spiked hollandaise. Vegans can also get on board and order up dairy-free porridge, with quinoa flakes, candied hazelnuts, goji berries, seeds, berry compote and macadamia milk. Plus, the lunch menu kicks in at 11.30am with piadinis, Wagyu cheeseburgers and pan-roasted salmon.

On Fridays, Fair Trader celebrates the end of the working week with extended hours, staying open until midnight with a full tapas menu of pork belly sliders, salt and pepper calamari and thai chicken coriander meatballs. Happy Hour kicks into gear from 5-8pm to make sure you start your weekend with a well-deserved drink in hand – the plus is they've got $8 pints, $6 wines, $6 ciders and a cracker $20 pizza and jug special. Slinging Coopers, Fat Yak and Peroni from the taps, these guys pride themselves on quality ingredients and friendly service.

Got an event coming up? The Fair Trader seats up to 120 people and can cater private functions, Christmas parties and business lunches, which is pretty convenient considering its central location and huge floor space.
