The General Assembly is putting on $59 two-hour spritz sessions every Saturday

This South Wharf riverside terrace will throw in snacks and share plates, too

Picture this: you’re sitting on an al fresco terrace by the river holding a Lychee Spritz, as people strolling Melbourne’s South Wharf neighbourhood pass you by. Your mates are here too and you’ve not a worry in the world, not even about getting your share of the fries – because they’re bottomless!

Congrats, you’ve successfully manifested a delightful evening out at the General Assembly. Every Saturday from 6pm, this riverside pub serves up a cracker of a two-hour deal in their prime location close to Crown, Southern Cross Station and ample parking. We’ve gotta admit, it’s not often you find deals like this in the city centre.

So, what do you get at these spritz sessions? For $59 per person, you’ll gain access to free-flowing spritz for the whole two hours, including Hugo, Malfy, Pimm’s, Italicus and Lychee versions. There are also non-alcoholic options available that are just as flavourful. But that’s not all, you’ll get a charcuterie plate to start, loaded with pickles, smoked hummus, berries, spiced nuts, focaccia, and of course, cured meats. You’ll also get shared plates laden with lamb skewers and chicken Caesar salad. Would you like fries with that? We hope so, because as we mentioned, they’re bottomless too. Unlimited dipping sauces are also on the table, including smokey chipotle, Italian truffle mayo and classic aioli.

So, gather your mates and the General Assembly will take care of the rest. Groove to the DJ from 6pm every Saturday or just enjoy the sun twinkling on the water. We’re sure you can see why these spritz sessions tend to book out, so we recommend booking ahead online to claim your table.
