The changing seasons in Melbourne bring many reasons to feel cosy and content – comfort food, colourful leaves and oversize sweaters, to start you off. However, nothing quite compares to the beloved tradition of a classic Sunday roast. Luckily, Victoria by Farmer’s Daughters has put a local Victorian twist on this British staple with their new mighty Sunday roast, available every Sunday between 11am and 6.30pm.

If the name sounds familiar, Victoria is the CBD sister to executive chef Alejando Saravia’s award-winning restaurant Farmer's Daughters on Collins Street. Relax in Victoria’s cosy dining room, located in the heart of Fed Square, with a soul filling three-course feast designed for sharing.

The mighty Sunday roast menu features Melbourne’s best seasonal produce, beginning with an oak wood selection of cured meats and house pickles; burrata with caponata, basil and shiso; hot smoked Alpine trout with cucumber salsa; and Cobb Lane sourdough with Inglenook Dairy salted butter. Save room for the star of the show – a monthly-changing wood-roasted protein (check out what's on offer on their website each month), crispy duck fat potatoes and Yorkshire pudding, plus classic crème caramel to finish.

No Sunday roast is complete without a few beverages. There are refreshing Victorian beers on tap, cocktails crafted with exclusively Australian spirits and an extensive all Victorian wine bible to study.

This nostalgic feasting tradition will become an essential part of surviving our city’s colder months so you’ll want to book soon. Gather your nearest and dearest and reserve a table on Sunday from 11:30am - 6:30pm, starting April 16. Reservations can be made online here
