Sydney diner Moon Park stops by Luxembourg for a kitchen collaboration

Sydney Korean eatery Moon Park may have closed last year, but chef Ben Sears is temporarily reviving the restaurant in Melbourne for one week only in a collaboration with St Kilda restaurant Luxembourg. Sears is teaming up with Luxembourg chef and owner Chris Watson for Zona Rasa, an event that tips its hat to the namesake Mexico City neighbourhood known for its Korean influence.

Expect a mash up of Korean and Mexican flavours, and some classic dishes from the former Redfern restaurant like the shrimp-brined fried chicken (pictured). You can also expect Korean-style tacos with bulgogi galbi (grilled beef short rib) and chilli con carne ssam.

If you're unfamiliar with the Sydney restaurant, the Moon Park and Luxembourg collaboration is no a brainer considering Andrew McConnell's past mentorship of Ben Sears, who then opened the contemporary Korean eatery in 2013 with business partner Eun Hee An.

Go for the banquet menu ($65pp) to let the chefs do the picking for you, or select your Moon Park favourites from the a la carte menu. Bookings highly recommended.
