Centre Court Book Exchange

You may need to travel out of your metropolitan comfort zone for this shop, but it’s well worth the effort. A genuine, old school book exchange of the type that used to be ubiquitous across the suburbs but is now increasingly rare (its even located in a shopping arcade), it has a terrific selection of hard-to-get pulp and popular fiction, including crime, westerns, romance and horror. There’s also a fairly good range of children’s books. The prices are very reasonable and owner, Jim Gregory, seems to know exactly where every single book is. He is happy to look at any books you may want to sell, but only buys selectively so ring before you come in.
