The Sacred Heart mIssion is one of St Kilda's corner stones. Renowned for forking out over 400 meals per day to Melbourne's disadvantaged, other lesser known but equally critical services are supplied – for instance, a vet donates his time to attend to the furry companions of Melbourne's homeless, while others voluteer hairdressing and health related services. It's also home to a tiny little op shop that houses some kitsh pieces that would look better adorning the walls of your house. Because of it’s Christian background, you almost certain to find some sweet gilt-edged religious iconography. Great for retro cookbooks and random bits and bobs.
