Time Out says

To get shoppers excited about the season, Springvale Homemaker Centre is hosting a free pop-up event inspired by everyone’s favourite summer moments. Drop by over January (Thursday to Sunday, 11am-3pm) to snap a highly Instagrammable pic and score a summery treat from one of four interactive themed rooms.

Take a selfie on the pastel green slide out front before making your way across rooms titled ‘Sunny’, ‘Splash’, ‘Sweet’ and ‘Sips’. You’ll get to sit on a swing surrounded by sunflowers, dance inside a bubblegum pink milk bar, lounge on a pool diveboard and laze on a giant watermelon slice as you experience miniature versions of a quintessential Australian summer. Staff will also be giving out free frosty watermelon slushies and ice cream sprinkle cones to keep visitors cool and happy as they strike a pose.

Springvale Homemaker Centre is the largest homemaker centre in Australia, incorporating Victoria's largest IKEA as well as popular Australian retailers such as Harvey Norman, Domayne, JB Hi-Fi, Adairs, Anaconda, House and Pillow Talk. To help navigate your summer shopping trip they have also put together a handy guide to the centre’s busy and peak periods.
