Time Out says

Eat and be well at the Inner North’s newest market

Sate your craving for alfresco shopping at Fitzroy Mills Market.Located on Fitzroy’s Rose Street, the Mills market is a happy blend of a farmers market and a wellness event.

The weekly market boasts an eclectic line-up, including coffee from Industry Beans, organic free range eggs from Wild Hen Farm, produce from Crisp Produce and Preserves, cheese from Milawa Cheese Company and artisan bread and other baked goodies from Cobb Lane.

Those with dietary requirements are also well catered for. Bite Me Fine Foods will be bringing their vegan falafels and veggie burgers, while you can nab gluten and grain free bread from No Grainer and raw, plant-based choccies from Girl Made Chocolate.

You don’t need to forgo Saturday morning brunch to attend the markets either – meaty mavens Bluebonnet Barbecue are fronting up a brunch menu.

The Fitzroy Mills is the product of three Fitzrovian siblings: Ari, Aphrodite and Chris Vlahos. The market’s Rose Street location is actually the site of their family’s old mill and they hope the market will reconnect their community with the people behind their food.

The Fitzroy Mills Market runs every Saturday 9am-2pm.
