Tips and Toes

Tips and Toes is a major player in the Melbourne nail salon game. Starting with a single shop in Carlton, Tips and Toes now have 10 branches across Melbourne's suburbs.

Sure, they probably won't do crazy patterns and colours on your 'tips, but if you're caught in a pinch and find yourself needing your nail buffed and polished stat, these guys will be able to get you looking ready for the night in a jiffy.

Stores also offer waxing, massage and tanning services.

Carol J

Went to the South Melbourne Tips & Toes today and was ripped off so feeling a bit peeved. I was advised the cost of the manicure and pedicure would be $50 with "ordinary lacquer" as opposed to shellac. I confirmed I did not want shellac and was then told to choose a lacquer from the stand which the attendant pointed to (right beside the front of the store where we were standing). After the service I was advised the cost was now $60:00 because the colour I had chosen was a new bottle (beats me how this has anything to do with anything) and if I'd wanted a $50 service I  had to choose a bottle from the rear of the store which I had not been told. Won't be going there again and don't recommend it based on my experience. There is a smaller salon along Clarendon street near tram stop 24 which I subsequently noticed which offers a cheaper and more personal service. Wish I'd seen it sooner.
