It's time to go cashless. Global fintech, Square, is partnering with Fitzroy's Rose Street Artists' Market to launch an entirely cashless market event on Saturday November 26 and Sunday November 27.

Australia is one of the top ten cashless economies, with more than half of the population carrying less than $50 at any one time. For the first time in Australia, 70 market vendors will accept card and mobile payments (a move away from the traditional cash-only formula), using Square's new tap-and-go card reader.

Entry to the market is free, but it pays to get in early, as the first 50 customers lined up for the 10am opening will receive $30 prepaid credit to dive headfirst into their day of shopping. What's more, if you spend $100 at participating stalls, you'll receive an exclusive gift courtesy of Square and The Rose Street Artists' Market.

The Rose Street Artists' Market hosts over 70 of Melbourne's leadings artists, makers, crafters and designers, who present an eclectic range of homewares, jewellery, clothing, knick-knacks and more.
