All eyes are on Melbourne for the Formula 1 season opening event at Albert Park
Earplugs ready? The Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix weekend kicks off on Thursday March 22, setting the city alight with fast cars and festive exhilaration. International superstars, heavyweight cars and present champions will speed to victory on the picturesque Albert Park track.
The city comes to life for the Grand Prix long weekend, so expect excitement at every corner. As usual, general admission and grandstand tickets are available, but the hot ticket item is always the hospitality package. Offering supreme dining options, access to a rooftop tiered viewing deck and daily walks along Pit Lane, it makes spying on drivers Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel a sneaky cinch.
Take a break from watching the cars on the third day of the Grand Prix with Heineken Saturday. They've lined up a big list of Australian and international artists to spin tunes including Apl.de.ap and Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas plus Luciana, Young Franco and Nite Theory. As well as lots of live music the Heineken Village will also be your Grand Prix foodie hub with burgers from Sliders on Tyres, Greek eats from Jimmy Grants and woodfired pizza from 400 Gradi.
