Just south of the city lies your new favourite aquatic centre
Opened in 2012, GESAC is Victoria's best kept aquatic secret. Featuring both a 25- and 50-metre pool, hydrotherapy pool and two extreme waterslides, this aquatic centre has something to offer to everyone.
Advanced swimmers can take part in the squad swimming sessions, but if you still can’t tell your breast-stroke from your back-stroke, then the swim school is there to help. There are classes for kids and adults, meaning that it’s never too early (or too late) to take the plunge.
The Little Buccaneers program helps to introduce the littlest swimmers to the water, with specially tailored games, songs and activities for kids aged six to 36 months and their parents.
The centre has plenty to offer on dry land as well. Push yourself at the gym or join a fitness group and make some new exercise friends; there's professional personal trainers on staff too to help you get the most out of your workout.
