Merri Creek Trail

Starting at Dights Falls and wangling its way across the city to the Western Ring Road, the 21Km Merri Creek trail is an easy to miss, but easy to ride path. With only a few on-road sections it’s a gentle way for the fearful and fearfully bad riders amongst you to get back on yer bike and to cover some serious inner city ground. Running along Merri Creek (who’d have thought?) the path goes through Brunswick, and past CERES environmental park which means that there are as many cyclists in skinny jeans as there are spandex warriors, and with only a couple of steep stretches, any old begged or borrowed bike will pass muster. If you don’t have any obliging friends to pony up a pushbike, Little Creatures Brewery have got your back, lending locals one of their stable of red beasts for free.
