Melbourne’s annual Fringe Festival and celebration of all things culture and the arts is kicking off this October 6-23 – and trust us when we say the organisers are not holding any punches with its jam-packed bold and boisterous program.

Two shows to put on your radar are GODZ and Prehysterical, both presented by an award-winning entertainment company from Melbourne, Head First Acrobats.

A hedonistic dive head-first into the lives of the ancient Gods of Mount Olympus – Cupid, Hercules and Dionysus (gods of love, strength and wine, respectively), GODZ will endeavour to take you back in time to Ancient Greece circa 500 BCE. Expect incredible acrobatics, gravity-defying stunts and surprise comic twists. And there may or may not be some nudity.

Performances of the adults-only GODZ will be on daily during the Melbourne Fringe Festival from 8pm, with ticket prices ranging from $37 to $43.

For those with little humans, Prehysterical will be more up your alley. A hilarious circus show for children with a healthy dose of tongue-in-cheek humour for adults, Prehysterical tells the tale of three foolish Neanderthals as they struggle to survive in the harsh natural world.

Tickets for Prehysterical are from $25-$29, and the show will be on daily from October 8-23, commencing at 1pm.

GODZ and Prehysterical will both be showing at the brand new festival site in the program, the Vault at Runaway Festival Park.
