Need a bit more adrenaline in your life? Dracula's may be Australia's longest-running cabaret restaurant, but that doesn't mean they're stuck in the past. Their brand new show, Resurrection, brings sultry burlesque, underworld cabaret, contemporary music and quality dining together for an unforgettable night.

Step out of Carlton and into the gothic splendour of Dracula's and leave your expectations at the door. Your evening begins on the venue's famous ghost train, which is followed by drinks at the cocktail bar (don't be afraid of the eccentric wait staff: they won't bite). Finally, you'll step into the theatre restaurant, where you'll be served a three-course dinner as the two-hour show unfolds.

Resurrection is a collection of some of this decade's most requested acts, bathed in Dracula's signature kitsch vamp chic and bursting with optical illusion, animatronic sculpture and rock-circus action. Your MC for the night is the fabulously adrogynous Stuart Reeve, along with Emma Clark (direct from London's West End), circus cabaret artiste Connor Sweeny and live music by Rachel Trainor and Lacota Vella. No heel is too high, and no act too outrageous – but you'll have to find that out for yourself.

Catch Resurrection at Dracula's Cabaret Restaurant from Tue-Sat, 7pm. Book online or call 1800 DRACULAS. Prices start from $89 and include a ghost train ride, three-course dinner and full show (rated MA15+).
