Essential Theatre has been creating work in Melbourne and around the world since 1999 and in 2015 made big waves at Edinburgh. Now the company is joining with relative newcomers Three Birds Theatre for this dark riff on Hamlet, the character of Ophelia, mansplaining and Shakespeare's world more broadly.
John Kachoyan directs the piece, performed by Amanda LaBonte, Sophie Lampel, Candace Miles, Madelaine Nunn and Anna Rodway.
