Since opening in 2017 at the Old Vic in London, Girl from the North Country has taken the world by storm, playing to packed theatres in the West End and Broadway, and earning multiple Tony Award nominations. And now, it’s entering its final weeks in Melbourne – and trust us, this is one musical extravaganza you don’t want to miss.

Playing at the Comedy Theatre until June 11, the acclaimed show explores themes of family and love. It takes place in Minnesota in 1934, and follows a group of wanderers who cross paths at a guesthouse. All of the characters are grappling with their own inner demons, and stand at a critical turning point in their lives.

Weaving the narrative together are more than 20 beautifully reimagined songs by legendary singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, including ‘Hurricane’, ‘Like A Rolling Stone’, ‘To Make You Feel My Love’ and ‘Forever Young’. If you’re a Dylan stan, you’re guaranteed to be singing along to every word.

Written and directed by Irish playwright Conor McPherson, Girl from the North Country also features a star-studded cast, with Lisa McCune, Peter Kowitz, Helen Dallimore, Peter Carroll and Greg Stone playing key roles.

And for a limited time only, Time Out readers can save up to 42 per cent on A Reserve and B Reserve tickets (excluding Saturday evening shows). To find out more and purchase your discounted tickets, head to the website.
