This hit tear-jerking British play follows a couple over their many decades together
What is the sum of a life shared together? For married couple Maggie and Billy, the past and present intermingle and the house they share becomes filled with visions of their younger selves in playwright Abi’s Morgan’s elegiac tale of the ties that bind. Lovesong had audiences reaching for the tissues when it first premiered in 2011 in collaboration with pioneering British physical theatre company Frantic Assembly, and no doubt this production by Red Stitch Actors Company will have the same effect. Featuring a live cello score, it’s directed by Denny Lawrence (Love Love Love) and features Paul English, Gillian Murray, Dylan Watson and Maddy Jevic.
