It's hard being a teen, but a group of 12- to 18-year-olds from Daylesford and Castlemaine are tackling it head on with a hilarious but heartfelt story about being unique. Mavericks and Misfits is a new show that showcases the talents of local youth as well as telling an important story about finding your place in the world.
The show is a collaboration between three local performing arts studios: Inside Out Dance Theatre, Castlemaine Youth Theatre and Sprung Circus. The show features an original soundtrack composed by funk and soul artist Geoffrey Williams, who worked with the 45 young performers in writing the songs.
Mavericks and Misfits is playing three nights only from June 28 to June 30. Tickets are $15-$20.
