Time Out says

An Australian classic is getting a properly queer rethink for Midsumma Festival

PO PO MO CO is short for "Post Post Modern Comedy". That might sound like a rather pretentious and potentially painful prospect, but what you really need to know about this troupe is that they're wildly funny. They also have a significant cult following and are only doing two performances at this year's Midsumma, so you'll want to make sure you get tickets.

For this year's festival, they're taking on an Australian theatrical classic: Ray Lawler's seminal drama Summer of the Seventeenth Doll. But never fear if you aren't familiar with the story of Olive, Pearl, Roo and Barney – by the time PO PO MO CO is done with it, it'll be barely recognisable.
