Time Out says

One of Melbourne’s leading directors takes on David Ives’ darkly funny story of sex and power

This two-person play by American playwright David Ives follows a director called Thomas, desperately searching for an actor to play the female lead in his adaptation of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch sadomasochistic novella, Venus in Furs. He’s all but given up when a woman called Vanda – the same name as the character she’s to play – suddenly walks into the audition.

Melbourne director Kirsten von Bibra (Red Stitch’s acclaimed Grounded) will bring the play to fortyfivedownstairs with Tilly Legge and Darcy Kent playing Vanda and Thomas.
