Time Out says

All the same fun, food and community connection comes to your home this year

For 20 years now Clayton Festival has been connecting, celebrating and empowering the community. From platforming local entertainers and teaching new skills to cooking up delicious food and drink, it’s a treasured opportunity for the area’s many proud cultures to put on a show.

This year the spirit of Clayton Festival will continue online, with a schedule of 50 free activities for families, children, older and young audiences ready to explore from the comfort of your home.

Chortle along to comedian and ABC host Lawrence Leung’s new show, learn some new moves with world chess federation master Chris Wallis, or vibe out to the soulful sounds of National Indigenous Music Award winner Kee’ahn.

Meanwhile, kids can take part in an Enviro Bingo around the neighbourhood that’ll teach them sustainable habits or get crafty at an online origami night. And just because you’re not there in person this year doesn’t mean you’ll miss on the wonderful multicultural flavours of the festival – there’ll be live cooking workshops, an Greek home cooking showcase spanning three generations, and even a virtual dinner party.
