Time Out says

Alain de Botton made our hearts ache just over 20 years ago with his debut novel Essays in Love. He's revisiting the topic of modern love in his latest novel and stopping off in Melbourne to discuss it

Acclaimed UK author Alain De Botton encourages his readers to examine life through the lens of philosophy. He also started the School of Life in London (during all the spare time he had between publishing novels and being on TV). Lucky for us, he's due to hit town under the auspices of the local School of Life chapter to examine the weighty concept of modern love. He'll examine what it means to be a lover, unpack the concept of marriage and talk about making love last – all in the context of his latest novel, The Course of Love.

Tickets go on sale Tuesday March 1 and be quick – tickets to see de Botton always get snaffled up. The event runs between 6 and 8pm, but doors open earlier.
