Every year the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre hosts the ASRC Telethon on World Refugee Day to help empower and support those seeking asylum in Australia. It’s the not-for-profit’s largest annual fundraising event, having raised more than $4.2 million since the event first started in 2016.
This Sunday, June 20, the ASRC will be hosting a live fundraising event from 8am to 10pm at the company's headquarters in Footscray. You can watch the event over at the ASRC's Facebook and catch updates on Instagram and Twitter.
There will be auction items to bid on and you can watch celebrities and media personalities come together to support the ASRC. Throughout the day you can donate to the cause via the website.
