The folks over at Abbotsford's Aviary Hotel are banishing your Sunday afternoon blues with Backyard Boogie – a new monthly session of music, beer and barbecue. On the first Sunday of every month the Aviary Hotel, along with Aussie brewers Young Henrys, are putting on a free easygoing party in the hotel’s backyard to get your hips shaking and your head forgetting that tomorrow is Monday.
Get down to the Aviary on Sunday November 5 for the first of many Backyard Boogies. Local funk outfit Positively Positive will be kicking off the first boogie with DJ sets, while the house chef will be on barbecue duty to feed hungry partygoers (vegetarians will be looked after too).
From 3pm you can grab $3 pots and $6 pints of Young Henrys pale ale, while a tinnie of Young Henrys cloudy apple cider will only cost you $5. Feeling fancy? Treat a friend with an Espresso Martini (two for the price of one) or become the favourite friend with a cocktail jug for $18.
