Section 8 – the grunge-chic laneway bar that basically sums up #Melbourne – is teaming up with creative collective Working Class Secret Services to host a big summer party of street art, music and fashion.
It’s going to be a bit of an arty party as the walls of Section 8 get a new lick of paint thanks to some of Melbourne’s major street art players. You’ll be able to watch the walls get refreshed by the rainbow-hued hands of Ruskidd, the abstract imaginings of Kenz and the slightly spontaneous creations of Mike Eleven.
The soundtrack to the repaint will be brought by Jackson and Amin from Condensed Milk as well as Sean Deans, Billy Hoyle, Thanks and Melo Felo. And in case you don’t have any party threads the WURC collective will be selling clothes from local Melbourne fashion labels like SNO, MOST Melbourne, Ruler WURC and HWY.
It’s all free and it’s all day – pop on down to Section 8 on Saturday January 20 to check it out.
