Ah, bacon. Those crispy, greasy strips of pork are used in everything from sweet and savoury breakfast dishes, burgers, sandwiches, to desserts (you haven't lived until you've had candied bacon). Turns out Welcome to Thornbury is on board the bacon train too, and they're celebrating the tasty cured pork with their first ever Bacon Appreciation Day on Saturday June 24.
The High Street food truck muster has called up the best bacon-loving food trucks that will be serving up dishes spiked with the salty stuff. Expect triple-decker bacon burgers from Mr Burger and YOMG, bacon banh mi from Nem N' Nem, and maple bacon sticks from Billy Van Creamy for dessert.
Donald and Tuck, The Cheese Rebels, Ostrich and Egg and more will also be joining thefood truck line-up. Don't forget to walk up to the bar, which will be shaking and stirring bacon-infused cocktails.
