By now, no doubt you've realised that bingo is not just for the elderly. Bingo nights have been popping up in pubs and bars across the city for years now – but at this CBD club and live music venue, they're doing it a little differently.
Bingo Starr – which kicked off in May this year – eschews numbers in favour of songs. Here's the deal: your host Dan Watt (a comedian and music writer) plays short grabs of songs. Your job is to identify the song, then see if you've got a match on your card. Get enough matches, and bingo! You're a winner, baby.
And that's not all: the victorious could walk away with CDs, T-shirts, meal vouchers and drink cards. While you're there, make a night of it by tucking into some award-winning fried chicken and crab at Miss Katie's Crabshack, and sing along to your favourite tunes, karaoke-style.
Entry is free, but table bookings are essential at info@misskatiescrabshack.com.
