Time Out says

You won’t find any Shake ‘n Bake at the Cake Bake and Sweets Show – this flour-covered expo only dishes out top tier sweet treats. There are masterclasses, cake-decorating competitions, workshops and cooking demonstrations for home bakers, and plenty of taste-testing opportunities if dessert is your kryptonite.

Over three days of baking events, you’ll get the chance to watch master pâtissiers in action. Pastry chef at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel Anna Polyviou will share her creative dessert skills, along with local Instagram dessert queen Katherine Sabbath and Italian sugar artist Barbie Regini (she creates edible dolls as cake toppers).

One of the most popular events at the Cake Bake and Sweets Show is the decorating stage, where you can watch six cake decorating demonstrations per day for free. There are also workshops suitable for adults and kids, meet and greets with celebrity bakers, competitions for bakers of all skill levels and a healthy baking stage for those wanting to reduce their sugar intake.

You'll need to register for most classes and workshops (full-day workshop tickets include entry to the show).
