Carwyn Cellars is hosting an at-home beer festival this spring

Who knows when we'll be back in pubs sinking beers. What we do know is that we can still enjoy beers at home, and Carwyn Cellars is championing that endeavour.

On Saturday, October 24, Carwyn Cellars is hosting the Carwyn Collaborational International Beer Festival – a virtual beer festival showcasing 22 breweries and 11 collaborative beers. The line-up of brewers features an equal split of Australian and international producers, including Hawkers (VIC), One Drop (NSW), Felons (QLD), Otherside (WA), De Molen (Netherlands), Track (United Kingdom), Firestone Walker (USA) and Beer Here (Denmark).

The festival has teamed each of the Australian breweries up with an international brand to create a collaborative beer – which you, dear reader, then get to enjoy at home via a Collaborational at Home Beer Box (essentially your festival ticket). These boxes are $95 and include all 11 collaborative beers. The beers will remain a surprise until you receive your box, but you can expect IPAs, sours and imperial stouts to all make an appearance.

The festival boxes also include a branded festival glass and booklet, to enjoy alongside the range of content lined up. The virtual festival will have interviews with brewers, tours of world-renowned breweries, guided tasting sessions and prizes for the best festival at home set up. You technically don't need to purchase the beer box to enjoy the festival, but it'll certainly be a lot more fun if you do.

Pre-sales for the Carwyn Collaborational International Beer Festival start from noon on Wednesday, September 2.
