Roll up, roll up! Melbourne’s colourful circus group announces first live show in three years

Calling all lovers of hula hoops, gravity-defying movement and Dumbo, Circus Nexus, a not-for-profit organisation that creates connection and community through circus, has announced its first live show since 2019 will be happening this spring – Circus Nexus Live.

A culmination of Circus Nexus 2022 emerging artists program, the high energy performance will showcase some of Melbourne’s talented rising stars alongside Circus Nexus’ own troupe. And you can bet there won’t be a wallflower in sight.

From a static cloud-swinging act to a caterpillar contortion and politically charged juggling, the gravity-defying artists have been encouraged to go wide, be bold and take risks during the show.

Circus Nexus Live will run for three evenings in Preston on September 9,10 and 11, with tickets starting from $20 for a concession and $25 for an adult ticket.

The organisation has a long tradition of supporting youth from all walks of life, and offers circus classes for ages three to 17, and those with all levels of abilities.

Put on your best outfit, BYO snacks and have fun.
