Time Out says

Discover the dramatic cliffs, wild oceans and idyllic bays of this glorious natural wonderland while raising money for charity

Get ready to tie up your laces: Coastrek, one of Australia’s most well-known charity hiking challenges for women, is hosting its next epic adventure in May – and this time it’s taking place in the stunning Mornington Peninsula. Combining fun, fitness, friends and fundraising, Coastrek Mornington Peninsula will see groups of four trek between 20km to 60km throughout the picturesque coastal region, all the while raising money for the Heart Foundation. Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

There are four distances offered for Coastrek Mornington Peninsula: 60km, 45km, 30km, or the new twilight 20km – and they all kick off on Friday, May 26, 2023. From a glorious sunrise start at Cape Schanck lighthouse to the white-sands of Sorrento Beach, sweeping views from the historic Fort Nepean and secluded bush trails, Coastrek Mornington Peninsula will be sure to deliver brilliant nature experiences in spades.

So, what do you do next? Rally together three friends, family members or colleagues, register, and together aim to raise $2,000! And don’t worry if you’re feeling puffed just thinking about the hike: Coastrek isn’t a race, it’s all about having fun, getting out in nature and doing good for others (over the past 12 years, Coastrek has raised more than $45 million for charity). Plus, there’s a 12-week training program you can follow to ensure you’re trek-ready.

Prices for Coastrek Mornington Peninsula start from $125 per person, and registration is now open, closing on April 16, 2023.
