Now in its eighth consecutive year, Craft Cubed Festival comes to us from Craft Victoria, the state’s largest and oldest arts organisation dedicated to championing craft in all its forms through exhibitions, public and retail programs.
The 2017 festival will be feature statewide events, exhibitions, workshops and more, all themed around crafting communities. Event highlights include the Craft Cubed Window Walk project, which takes the concept of window shopping and turning it into pop-up art installations around the CBD. Installations will celebrate local artists and makers and locations include Alpha 60's Chapter House, Cumulus Inc, Docklands Library, Guild of Objects, and Aesop Flinders Lane.
The festival will showcase creative community groups, highlighting diversity, multi-disciplinary practice, hidden networks and meaningful connections that are made through contemporary crafting.
