You can’t have heart without art, as those clever foxes at Heide Museum of Modern Art know. The museum is organising a date night in its romantic Heart Garden for couples or those looking to meet someone special.
To encourage a romantic atmosphere, there will be wine and cheese as well as a performance by Melbourne-based pianist Evelyn Morris.
Couples who buy tickets together can get a slight discount, but the unpartnered and arty might meet the cultured gent or lady of their dreams. There will be no shortage of sparkling conversation, with Heide “conversation coasters” circulating throughout.
Date Night visitors will also be able to stroll hand in hand through the museum’s current exhibition, Making History: Nolan at the Newsagent, featuring the work of iconic Australian artist Sidney Nolan.
The Heart Garden is a particularly apt setting for Date Night, as it celebrates the intense love affair and creative partnership of Sidney Nolan and Heide founder Sunday Reed.
