Buckle up kids, because have we got some festive lunch offers for you. This December, Grand Hyatt Melbourne's award-winning restaurant, Collins Kitchen, is celebrating Christmas with a series of buffets.

Lunch or dinner, it doesn’t matter; there’s a buffet in this list to suit your budget and scheduling needs. But why listen to us? Check out what each of the festive buffets lunches have to offer below.


Festive Lunch and Dinner Buffets

For those of us who’d like to get an early start on Christmas, Collins Kitchen is the perfect place to get amongst it.

The festive lunch buffet takes place on Mondays to Fridays between noon and 2.30pm up until Friday, December 21. Among the dishes are blue swimmer crabs, steamed market fish with ginger and spring onion, mushroom gnocchi with nettles and sheep’s milk cheese, heirloom carrots with thyme and orange, pistachio and cranberry logs, and Christmas pudding with brandy custard sauce. It’s $69 per adult (or $79 with a glass of sparkling, beer or wine) and $34.50 per child (aged 6-12) including a glass of soft drink or juice.

The festive dinner buffet is available on Fridays and Saturdays between 6pm and 10.30pm up until Saturday, December 22. This buffet features a carvery with roasted turkey, Wagyu beef rump and Christmas ham; a selection of sushi and sashimi; prawn, vegetable and scallop dumplings; mapo duck, pad Thai noodles with prawns and tamarind peanuts; and barbecue free-range chicken. It's $99 per adult and $49.50 per child. 


Pre-Christmas Festive Sunday Lunch Buffet

Taking place on Sunday, December 23 between noon and 3pm, this lunch buffet is heading into even fancier territory. 

At $129 per adult and $64.50 per child, the Grand Hyatt will be serving up a carvery with all the aforementioned meats, as well as woodfire roasted porchetta with garlic and rosemary; freshly shucked oysters, pasture-fed flank steaks with fermented green chilli sauce; Moroccan lamb flatbread with smoked yoghurt and rocket; and pavlova Christmas wreaths with seasonal berries.


Christmas Eve Lunch and Dinner Buffets

Who can say no to a Christmas Eve buffet? These meals will be $129-$159 per adult and $64.50-$79.50 per child. The chefs behind the meals are serving up everything from chocolate bonbons to local green prawns, roast pork bo ssäm to woodfired Argentinian sausage.


Collins Kitchen's Christmas Day Lunch and Dinner Buffets

Want the joy of a Christmas feast without the cooking or the washing up? No problem. The Christmas day feasts at Collins Kitchen will have you stuffing yourself with California rolls, house-cured ocean trout, sashimi, lobster rolls, 45-day aged grass-fed rib eye, Fremantle octopus ceviche, white chocolate holy candles, snowy night entremets, peanut butter sandmen and macarons. For adults, it's $199 for lunch and $325 for dinner (with full beverage packages on offer), and for kids, it's $99.50 for lunch and $115 for dinner (with unlimited soft drinks on offer). There's limited availability on these so be sure to book ASAP!


The Residence Christmas Day Lunch Buffet

Grand Hyatt Melbourne's exclusive events venue, the Residence, is also throwing a Christmas Day lunch between noon and 3pm. The meal will feature a huge carvery table with traditional roast turkey, woodfire roasted porchetta and a Christmas ham; local prawns, yabbies and freshly shucked oysters; saltgrass lamb cutlets with chimichurri, grilled Moreton Bay bugs; and a series of dishes fresh from the wok. This lunch will be $325 per adult (including a full beverage package) and $115 per child (including soft drinks and juice).


New Year's Eve Dinner Buffet

Lastly, but certainly not least, end your 2018 right with a New Year's Eve meal at Collins Kitchen. Kicking off at 6pm, guests can feast on potato and sage pizza, salmon poke bowls, celeriac gratin with chestnuts and black truffles, salt and pepper calamari, mapo duck with chestnuts and tofu, hot and sour soup, and pasture-fed flank steak in fermented green chilli sauce. This one is priced at $199 per adult and $99.50 per child.
