Time Out in Association with Dream Chasers Festival

The Dream Chasers racing series is happening now in Melbourne and general admission is free. A Saturday night out in December with a GA ticket price of zero dollars? Honestly, we think that’s pretty wild. The Dream Chasers series consists of five nights of top level racing, culminating in the Phoenix on Saturday, December 16. Before the finale, there’s also the Melbourne Cup (yep, there’s more than one) on Saturday, December 2.

Those who show up trackside will be able to enter to win prizes from the festival’s total $100k prize pool. A trip to LA and a corporate suite at Marvel Stadium have already been won, with $10k cash, $5k in fuel and Coles vouchers still up for grabs. Better yet, there's a $39k Mitsubishi Outlander still up for grabs!

There might only be two nights left of this lively festival, but there’s still time to get in on the activities. Melbourne Cup night is happening at Sandown Park in Springvale and there’ll be a Taylor Swift tribute show between races, which promises to bring a party atmosphere. For $20, the 'club shout' offer gets you an ugrade to the box nine public bar, three free drinks, a stubby holder and a $10 food truck voucher.

The action will continue at the Phoenix, which is happening at the Meadows in Broadmeadows. Feed Me group will bring the goods with a variety of food trucks beside the track, so you’ll be able to grab burgers, pizza and more for dinner. As for the entertainment, DJ Chloe Wilson, known for her love of house and disco tunes, will take to the decks between races to keep punters entertained. Sammy will be on percussion, with DJ and saxophonist Jarrad Lees also on the line-up.

Feeling fancy? There are still spots in the first place marquee, where you can experience the events in style. Use the code 'CYBERMONDAY' for $84 tickets.
